According to DevOps.com, Metrics for DevOps should revolve around Change Lead Time, Change Failure rate, Mean Time to Recover, and Deployment Frequency. Three of those four place a strong emphasis on speed, the faster things got done, the more “successful” the project. The last is about actual performance, regardless of speed, if the program actually worked. It sounds like everything is covered, that is until you factor in someone who wants to break things on purpose. Security is the missing piece of the puzzle, in an effort to deliver the best quality product in the least amount of time, it is one criterion that slips through the cracks.
